PPSR Discharge Transactions are FREE OF CHARGE.

If you attempt to discharge a registration that has already passed its Expiry Date, then your transaction will fail with an error.

You do not need to take any action if the Registration has passed its Expiry Date.

What information do I need to know in order to Discharge a Registration?

You do not need any information about the vehicle that you are attempting to discharge the registration for. What you need is the PPSR Registration Number, and Change Number.

These numbers will have been provided when the registration was created.

An amendment to the PPSR Registration will change the Change Number, but the original Registration Number will not change.

The Registration was originally created in Eclipse, what do I need to do?

If the Registration was created and/or amended by Eclipse, then the system will have a record of the numbers that you need. When you select the vehicle for which you which to Discharge a Registration, the correct numbers will be automatically selected for you.

What happens if the Registration was created outside of the Eclipse System?

You can still use Eclipse to release the registrations that you have created using a different system. The PPSR will have sent you a Verification Statement to the email address that you used when you created your Secured Party Group, for any registrations.  that you create. These will contain the Registration Number and the Change Number.

What about Registrations that were migrated to PPSR from a State Register?

These registrations will need to have been "claimed" prior to being able to be Discharged. When they were claimed by your Secured Party Group, you will have received Verification Statements or a summary for these registrations, which contains the required information.

What if I don't have any of these?

A PPSR Search for the vehicle will reveal the Registration and Change Numbers.
