Employee List Changes
Show STP2 Flags
A new feature appears in the Employee List screen when in the process of transitioning to STP2.
The Show STP2 Flags checkbox becomes available when "More Options" is selected in the toolbar.
This option, when checked, causes an additional column of data to be loaded for each Employee in the right hand side of the grid. While the checkbox is selected, this column is visible and fixed at the right hand edge of the list, as shown below.
The codes that appear in the STP2 column are described below (this dialog appears when you check the Show STP2 Flags checkbox:
The objective is to ensure no Employees are flagged with a STP2 issue.
Employee Maintenance Screen Changes
A number of changes have been made to the Employee Screen that relate to STP2.
Employment Type
Employment Type is now a mandatory field under STP2.
Further, the "Contractor" option has been removed from the possible selections. The only valid selections now are:
- Full-time
- Part-time
- Casual
NOTE: If you were using "Contractor" previously for any of your Employees you will need to change them to one of the above types.
Other Employee related items to check
You should also check that the following areas are correctly configured for each Employee:
Superannuation: Check that any personal contributions to Super are correct.
Allowances: Check that the configuration of the Allowance is correct. In particular make sure that the Tax and OTE flags are correct and note that these flags can only be changed in the Allowance Setup.
Deductions: Check that the configuration of the Deduction is correct. In particular make sure that the Tax and OTE flags are correct and note that these flags can only be changed in the Deduction Setup.
Leave: ensure the Leave settings are correct for each Leave assigned.
